Pressable vs Kinsta: cheaper per site, or per visit?
Pressable costs less for every site you host. Kinsta costs less for every visit you get. Which one saves you money depends on how many sites you run and how much traffic they draw. Here is the maths, from both hosts' live pricing pages.

Two Good Hosts, Two Different Ways to Save
Pressable and Kinsta both run managed WordPress on top of cloud infrastructure, both include free migrations and 24/7 support, and both are used for serious WooCommerce and agency work. The real difference is the price model. Pressable gives you more sites and more extras per dollar. Kinsta gives you more visits per dollar.
That matters because a plan that looks cheap at 20,000 visits a month can cost more than its rival at 80,000. This page runs the numbers at one site, ten sites and twenty sites, then covers backups, security extras and who should pick which.
Every price and plan detail below was read from Pressable's and Kinsta's own pricing pages and documentation on 10 October 2026. We have run first-hand tests on Kinsta, such as our 8-location speed test and Redis test on a WooCommerce site. We have not run first-hand performance tests on Pressable, so on speed this page makes no claims for it.
Pressable is the better value if you host several sites or run an agency, or if your traffic stays near your plan's visit limit. You get staging, a sandbox, Jetpack Security, hourly database backups and 30-day retention on every plan, and the price per site is far lower.
Kinsta is the better pick if one busy site gets traffic spikes, because its overage rate is less than half of Pressable's and its entry plan includes 75,000 visits. It also bundles malware removal, a 260+ location CDN and an application performance monitor.

What It Costs at 1, 10 and 20 Sites
Here are the nearest matching plans, billed yearly, as listed on each host's pricing page on 10 October 2026. Kinsta shows both a visit-based and a bandwidth-based price on the same plan names, so we use the visit-based ones to match Pressable.
| Sites | Pressable (per year) Visit Pressable → |
Kinsta (per year) Visit Kinsta → |
|---|---|---|
| 1 site | Signature 1: $250 30K visits, 20GB |
Launch: $350 75K visits, 15GB |
| 10 sites | Signature 4: $900 150K visits, 50GB |
Scale: $1,690 650K visits, 50GB |
| 20 sites | Signature 5: $1,550 400K visits, 80GB |
WP 20: $3,400 500K visits, 50GB (Lead: $2,990, 1.5M visits, 60GB) |
At ten and twenty sites Pressable is much cheaper, saving $790 a year at ten sites and $1,850 a year at twenty compared with the closest Kinsta plan. For an agency with many small client sites, that gap is the whole story.
How Pressable's visit pricing works
Pressable's cheaper base price assumes your sites stay under their visit limits. Go over, and the rate is $1.20 per 1,000 visits, against Kinsta's $0.50. For annual plans Pressable counts overages by calendar month.
Take one site getting 75,000 visits a month. Kinsta Launch includes that for $350 a year. On Pressable Signature 1 the extra 45,000 visits cost about $54 a month, so the year comes to roughly $250 plus $648, or about $898. In that case Kinsta is less than half the price.
At ten sites the break-even is around 200,000 visits a month in total. Below that Pressable Signature 4 wins. Above it you would move up a Pressable tier, such as Signature 5 at $1,550 a year for 400,000 visits, or pay Kinsta's lower overage. Work out your own monthly visits before you choose.
How each host counts a visit also differs. Kinsta counts each unique IP address once per 24 hours. Pressable counts one visit per visitor per UTC day, and its default method filters out many bots. Our renewal prices guide shows why the number on the plan page is only half the cost story.
Backups: Where Pressable Has the Edge
Pressable runs hourly database backups and daily full file snapshots on every plan, and states they are retained for at least 30 days. For a WooCommerce store, hourly database backups mean a bad plugin update costs you minutes of orders, not a day.
Kinsta backs up every 24 hours and keeps 14 days on its Business plans, rising to 30 days on Agency plans. If you want hourly backups, that is a paid add-on at $100 per site per month, with a 6-hour option at $20. Kinsta also lets you back up to your own AWS or Google Cloud storage as a paid add-on.
If backups are central to your risk plan, Pressable includes what Kinsta charges extra for.
Security and Extras Included
What Pressable includes
- Jetpack Security on every Signature plan (Pressable values it at $239 a year), plus malware monitoring.
- Staging and a sandbox for every install, so you can test on a clean copy without touching staging.
- Five dedicated PHP workers per site, each with 512MB, on AMD EPYC Milan CPUs.
- A customizable plugin update scheduler and granular team permissions.
What Kinsta includes
- A fully managed firewall with DDoS protection through Cloudflare's enterprise network, plus bot protection.
- Free malware removal for as long as you host with Kinsta, including during migration.
- A 260+ location CDN and built-in application performance monitoring (APM) to spot slow plugins and queries.
