Why Compare Pressable With Other Hosts?

Pressable gives you a lot for the money: staging and a sandbox, hourly database backups and Jetpack Security on every plan. People still look at other hosts, and the reasons are practical.

Some want more visits included in the entry plan. Some prefer to pay for storage and bandwidth instead of visits. Some want a different support setup, an agency workflow, or the freedom to pick a cloud provider.

Prices and plan details below were read from each host's own pricing page on 10 October 2026, with WP Engine's regular price taken from our 3 October verification. We have not run first-hand performance tests on Pressable or on the other hosts for this page, except where we link to our own Kinsta tests.

FBWH Verdict

Kinsta is the best fit if you run one or two busy sites. Its entry plan includes 75,000 visits and overages are $0.50 per 1,000, which suits traffic that spikes.

Rocket.net is the pick if you want unmetered visitors and a fixed monthly price, and Cloudways is the budget route from $14 a month with your choice of cloud.

Pressable at a Glance: Where It Shines

Pressable is built on Automattic's WP Cloud, the team behind WooCommerce. Signature 1 is $25 a month, or $250 a year, and every plan includes staging, a sandbox, Jetpack Security, hourly database backups with at least 30 days of retention, and free migrations.

It is strongest for several sites, agencies and WooCommerce stores whose traffic stays near the plan's visit allowance. The overage rate is $1.20 per 1,000 visits, so a busy single site may find a visit-heavy plan elsewhere a better match. Our full Pressable review covers it in detail.

Pressable is lowest per site as you add sites. Kinsta and Rocket.net include much more traffic headroom. Cloudways is priced per server rather than per site, so a single server can host several sites.

Kinsta: Best If One or Two Busy Sites Need Traffic Headroom

Kinsta Launch is $35 a month or $350 a year for one site, with 75,000 visits, 15GB of storage and a 260+ location CDN. If you go over, overages are $0.50 per 1,000 visits, which keeps a traffic spike affordable.

Kinsta includes free migrations, free malware removal, a managed firewall with DDoS protection, free staging and a built-in application performance monitor. Backups run every 24 hours with 14 days kept on Business plans and 30 days on Agency plans, and hourly backups are an add-on.

  • 75,000 visits included on the entry plan
  • $0.50 per 1,000 visits over the limit
  • Free malware removal and a managed firewall
  • First-hand tests on this site, including our Redis on WooCommerce test

It suits one or two busy sites better than a large portfolio, where per-site cost adds up. Read the Kinsta review or the head-to-head Pressable vs Kinsta.

Rocket.net: Best If You Want Unmetered Visitors

Rocket.net lists unmetered visitors on every managed plan, so there is no visit allowance to watch. Starter is $30 a month, or $25 a month billed yearly, for one install with 10GB of storage and 50GB of bandwidth. Pro is $60 a month ($50 billed yearly) for 3 installs, and Business is $100 a month ($83 billed yearly) for 10 installs.

Plans include free migrations, 30-day backup retention, a web application firewall and a 99.99% uptime guarantee. Rocket.net says all sites use its Enterprise Edge network with 330 edge locations, and that renewals do not go up (that is Rocket.net's own pricing pledge).

  • Unmetered visitors on every managed plan
  • 30-day money-back guarantee and unlimited free migrations
  • Storage and bandwidth overages billed at $2 per GB and $0.08 per GB
  • WordPress-only platform with 10 server locations

It suits people who want to stop counting visits and focus on storage and bandwidth. Rocket.net does not offer email hosting, so plan your mailboxes separately. See the Rocket.net review and Kinsta vs Rocket.net.

WP Engine: Best If You Want Its Agency Workflow and Support Tiers

WP Engine now sells a configurable Managed Hosting Platform. Its Essential plans start at a regular price of $35 a month ($420 a year) for one site with 25,000 visits and 10GB, and its pricing page shows first-year promotional prices for new customers that vary by offer. WP Engine states that renewal pricing is subject to change.

It is the longest-established agency option here, and our Pressable vs WP Engine comparison covers white-label reporting, phone support on higher-capacity plans and its 60-day money-back window.

  • Agency-focused tooling and white-label reporting
  • Phone support on higher-capacity plans (check current plan terms)
  • Essential, Core and Enterprise tiers as you grow

It suits teams that value its workflow and support tiers. Because pricing is promotional in year one, check the regular price and our renewal prices guide before you commit. See the WP Engine review.

Cloudways: Best If You Want Your Choice of Cloud

Cloudways lets you pick the cloud provider and server size. The Flexible plans on its pricing page start at $14 a month (Micro, 1GB RAM, 25GB NVMe), then $28 (Small, 2GB), $54 (Medium, 4GB) and $99 (Large, 8GB). Each server includes unlimited visits and unlimited websites, plus free migration of your first site, staging and 24/7 support.

Cloudways also hosts non-WordPress apps such as Magento, Laravel and PHP, and it lists Object Cache Pro free on servers with 4GB RAM or more. Its Autonomous plans add autoscaling for high-traffic stores, starting at $99 a month.

  • Pick AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Linode or Vultr
  • Unlimited sites per server, priced by server size
  • Free Object Cache Pro on 4GB servers and above
  • 3-day free trial with no credit card

It suits people comfortable choosing a server size and cloud region. Advanced support that covers plugins and themes is a separate add-on at $100 a month. See our Cloudways review and Kinsta vs Cloudways.

When Pressable Is Still the Right Call

Pressable is the best value here if you host several sites, run an agency, or run WooCommerce with steady traffic. At 10 sites it is $900 a year, against $1,690 at Kinsta, and hourly database backups, a sandbox and Jetpack Security come with every plan.

If that describes you, stay with it. Read the Pressable review or check Pressable's current plans.

How to Pick

How many sites do you run? Many sites, or client sites, favor Pressable on cost per site. One or two sites favor Kinsta or Rocket.net.

How does your traffic behave? Steady traffic near your plan's visits suits Pressable. Spiky traffic suits Kinsta's low overage rate, and traffic you would rather not count suits Rocket.net's unmetered visitors.

Do you want to choose your own server? If yes, Cloudways gives you the cloud choice and the lowest entry price.
