A dated record of confirmed pricing, plan, and feature changes on Kinsta that affect claims made in our Kinsta review. Every change logged here is already reflected in the current review text — this page exists so you (and search engines) can see exactly what changed and when, without digging through revision history.
Changelog
What changed: Our pages said Kinsta's live chat reached a human agent "within a couple of minutes" (and, on one page, "in about 20 seconds"). The chat screenshots from our May 2026 test show only relative timestamps, so no exact time can be proved. The pages now say that after a short wait a human support engineer joined and answered, and that this was one session, not a guarantee.
Why it matters: Corrects our own support-test wording only. Kinsta's support offering (24/7 live chat, no phone) is unchanged.

What changed: The Redis test article now states that Kinsta provided the free test account, including the Redis add-on, and its headline was changed to "We Tested Kinsta's Redis Add-On on a WooCommerce Store". Test results and prices are unchanged.
Why it matters: Corrects the account-sourcing wording only.

What changed: Kinsta's pricing page (read 2026-09-28) sells Business plans by Number of sites (One / Multiple) and Billing basis (Bandwidth / Visits). Single-site visits ladder, monthly billing: 35K $35, 65K $50, 125K $90, 315K $170, 500K $290, 750K $375, Enterprise $625 (the bandwidth ladder uses the same prices: 20GB $35 … 500GB $375). Multi-site: WP 2 $70 (70k visits), WP 5 $115, WP 10 $225, WP 20 $340, WP 40 $450, Enterprise $675. Annual billing is "2 months free": WP 2 $700/yr, WP 5 $1,150/yr, WP 10 $2,250/yr, WP 40 $4,500/yr. Agency starts at $340/month ($284 on annual billing, $3,400 paid up front); Enterprise from $500/month.
Why it matters: Confirms the Kinsta prices our pages cite (Single 35k $35, WP 2 $70, WP 5 $115, WP 10 $225, WP 40 $450). Pages comparing Kinsta's annual cost with WP Engine's annual prices should use the 10-month annual figures, not 12 x the monthly price — the multisite-agency page now shows both.

Read via Claude in Chrome on 2026-09-28: toggles clicked, slider stepped through every tier, monthly prices taken from the "Save $X by paying annually" figures (X = 2 months) and cross-checked against the "Pay today" totals on the annual view. Add-ons re-read from the same page (live scrape, same day): Redis $100/site/month, Premium staging $20/environment/month, PHP performance $10 per 500MB/month, external backups $2/site/month + $1/GB bandwidth, extra backups $20/site/month (every 6h) or $100/site/month (hourly), reverse proxy $50/site/month, disk space $20 per 20GB/month, additional WordPress site $30/month, Automatic Updates $3/environment/month, dedicated servers from $300/month. The page also shows a second plan family in a unified-billing view (Launch $35, Launch Plus $59, Build $69, Expand $99, Scale $169, Lead $299 per month; 1/1/2/5/10/20 installs) that our earlier browser pass did not surface; no site page cites it yet.
What changed: Kinsta added a sixth single-site tier (500GB server bandwidth / 750,000 visits) at $375/month, above the previous top tier (250GB/$290/month).
Why it matters: Gives high-traffic single-site owners a tier between the old top single-site plan and jumping to multi-site/Agency pricing.

What changed: Kinsta added a browser-based file manager to MyKinsta (Sites → [site] → Files) — view, edit, upload, move, copy, rename, and delete files without an SFTP client.
Why it matters: Lets site owners and agencies make quick file edits without setting up a separate FTP/SFTP client.

Date reflects when this was documented in our review (commit e74643d, June 26 2026) — not independently confirmed against a Kinsta changelog or announcement.
What changed: Kinsta added a bot protection tool (beta) to MyKinsta (Sites → [site] → Bot Protection), with pre-configured presets, integrated into the Analytics dashboard.
Why it matters: Blocks bad bots and AI crawlers without manual rule-writing, at no extra cost — a feature WP Engine only offers via a paid add-on.
