Every change logged here is already reflected in the current review text — this page exists so you (and search engines) can see exactly what changed and when, without digging through revision history.

What changed: Contabo's help desk (help.contabo.com/en/support/home) offers "Chat With Us" for quick or urgent questions alongside tickets; Contabo's support page cites a two-hour average response time and a three-tier team. Its VPS page states "9 Regions, 11 Locations" across the EU, UK, US, Singapore, Japan, Australia and India. Our budget VPS guide had said support was "ticket only / no live chat" and listed six locations without India.
Why it matters: Contabo's support is not ticket-only, and it has an India location (relevant for our India-audience content). The budget VPS guide and AI VPS article were corrected. Note: a few older Contabo pages (e.g. its support-experience page, which still says Cloud VPS 4 = "75 GB NVMe") use the pre-July-2026 lineup; the current pricing page lists 100 GB SSD, which we follow.

Read via Claude in Chrome on 2026-09-28 (contabo.com/en/vps, /support-experience, help.contabo.com). The stated average response time is Contabo's own claim; we have not tested it.
What changed: Contabo Core VPS on 2026-09-28 (EUR view): Cloud VPS 4 — 4 vCPU / 8 GB / 100 GB SSD / 200 Mbit/s — €5.50 list, €4.40 for the first 24 months. Cloud VPS 6 — 6 vCPU / 12 GB / 200 GB SSD / 300 Mbit/s — €7.50 list, €6.00 first 24 months. Cloud VPS 8 — 8 vCPU / 24 GB / 300 GB SSD / 600 Mbit/s — €14.00 list, €11.20 first 24 months. Cloud VPS 12 — 12 vCPU / 48 GB / 400 GB SSD / 800 Mbit/s — €25.00 list, €20.00 first 24 months. Traffic is advertised as unlimited.
Why it matters: Confirms the Contabo figures already on the OpenClaw hosting page (€4.40/€5.50, €6.00/€7.50, €20.00/€25.00) and the "under $8/mo, 4 vCPU / 8 GB" entry claim on the budget VPS guide — no drift found. It also makes Cloud VPS 4 the cheapest 8 GB plan among the providers in our AI VPS article, which now uses it as the budget pick.

Read via Claude in Chrome on 2026-09-28 from contabo.com/en/vps (page defaulted to EUR). Core line is standard SSD; the higher-priced Performance line (Cloud VPS Plus, NVMe; €13.50 for Plus 4 per our Ollama guide, verified earlier in September 2026) was not re-checked today. Evidence: fbwhhugo/screenshots/self-hosted-ai-vps-pricing-2026-09-28/ (07, 08).
What changed: Contabo announced GPU VPS on 21 September 2026: a dedicated NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 (96 GB GDDR7) with 18 vCPUs, 96 GB RAM and 900 GB NVMe, in Europe or US Central, for €999 per month excluding VAT (15% off on 12-month terms, 20% off on 24-month terms — €799.20 on the pricing page).
Why it matters: Adds a dedicated-GPU tier to a lineup that previously stopped at CPU servers; it is the basis for the Contabo row in the GPU table of our Best VPS for AI comparison and the GPU section of the Contabo review.

Why it matters: Corrected stale claims on our pages: the budget VPS guide said Contabo's dedicated-CPU plans start at ~$25/mo (Max Performance/VDS starts at $59 list, $47.20 promo), showed the Core 4 as NVMe (it is SSD) and priced it at ~$7 (now $6.60 list / $5.28 promo); the Ollama guide labelled €13.50 as 24-month pricing (it is the list price; the 24-month rate is €10.80) and said Contabo's cheapest Core plan is below 8 GB (Cloud VPS 4 has 8 GB). The OpenClaw guide's term (12 → 24 months) and plan rows were fixed earlier the same day.

What changed: On 29 July 2026 Contabo reorganised its VPS range into three lines: Core VPS (the former Cloud VPS line, now Cloud VPS 4/6/8/12/16/18 with SSD storage and shared vCPUs), Performance VPS (new; Cloud VPS Plus 4–18 with AMD EPYC and NVMe) and Max Performance VPS (the former VDS line, Cloud VDS S–XXL with dedicated CPU and RAM). Contabo says existing customers keep their current plans. It cites rising RAM and hardware costs behind the restructure.
Why it matters: Plan names and storage specs changed: the earlier "Cloud VPS 10/20/40/60" plans with NVMe (as listed in our OpenClaw hosting guide until 2026-09-28) are now the Core 4/6/12/18 plans with SSD, at the same promo prices. Guides and reviews using the old names or specs were updated.
