Rocket.net Changelog

⏱ Page Last Updated: September 2026 ✍ Tom George Source: Rocket.net's published pricing page + changes to our Rocket.net review

A dated record of confirmed pricing, plan, and feature changes on Rocket.net that affect claims made in our Rocket.net review. Every change logged here is already reflected in the current review text — this page exists so you (and search engines) can see exactly what changed and when, without digging through revision history.

Changelog

July 2026 Feature Argo Smart Routing Dropped From the Advertised Feature Set

What changed: Rocket.net no longer advertises Cloudflare Argo Smart Routing anywhere on its site — confirmed by a direct fetch of rocket.net/pricing/. Rocket.net still delivers through its Enterprise Edge CDN (built with a Cloudflare partnership, with an Enterprise WAF and full-page edge caching) and free Redis on every plan; only the specific "Argo Smart Routing" line item is gone, most likely dropped after the World Hosting Group / Hosting.com acquisition.

Why it matters: Anywhere our review or comparison pages credited Rocket.net with "Cloudflare Argo Smart Routing" specifically, that claim was stale and was corrected. The performance story is unchanged — Enterprise-tier full-page edge caching is what drives Rocket.net's sub-100ms TTFB, not Argo — but the feature list can no longer cite a routing product Rocket.net does not name. Pricing is unaffected: Rocket.net's Starter plan has been a flat $30/month every year from 2022 to 2026 (verified against archived pricing snapshots), with no promo-to-renewal jump.

Affects: What Makes Rocket.net Different, Rocket.net vs WP Engine

Confirmed via direct fetch of rocket.net/pricing/ on 2026-07-06 (fbwhseo Session 26). First spotted in two articles in Session 21; the full sweep — 9 fbwh-hugo files in total — was completed the same day in Session 27. Stale mentions were replaced with "Cloudflare enterprise-tier CDN" (plus free Redis where the sentence called for it), a contextual rewrite rather than a blind find-replace.

October 2026 Pricing Visit Caps Replaced With Unmetered Visits on Every Plan

What changed: Rocket.net's live pricing page now lists Visitors as Unmetered on all four managed plans (Starter $30/mo, Pro $60, Business $100, Expert $200). Earlier the plans carried visit allowances (250,000 a month on Starter). Limits are now disk and bandwidth (Starter: 10GB storage, 50GB bandwidth); Rocket.net says it bills overages at $2/GB for disk and $0.08/GB for bandwidth.

Why it matters: Our comparison pages that quoted '250k visits' for Rocket.net Starter were updated to say unmetered visits. Entry price is unchanged at $30/month.

Affects: Kinsta vs Rocket.net, Rocket.net vs WP Engine

Confirmed by reading rocket.net/pricing/ live on 2026-10-12. The review page already carried the unmetered wording.

November 2025 Feature India Data Center Added

What changed: Rocket.net announced on 2025-11-17 that WordPress installations can be deployed to its self-managed data center in India, directly peered with Cloudflare, in addition to its Enterprise CDN edge network. Toronto and Dubai locations are also mentioned. Billing remains in USD (rocket.net/pricing).

Why it matters: Our India pages previously said Rocket.net has no India server and does not publish a city list; they now describe the India data center. The earlier advice to compare Rocket.net's edge-only approach with Indian-origin hosts was updated.

Affects: WooCommerce hosting for India, Kinsta vs Rocket.net

Read from rocket.net's own announcement on 2026-10-12; whether the India location is selectable on every plan was not stated, so check at signup.
